Hi everybody. Welcome to the three reasons you aren’t losing weight on secular diets. My name is Denise Jelinek. I am your Catholic health and weight loss coach, and I will be leading you through this workshop today. I know that by the time that we get done, you’ll have a lot of peace understanding, gosh, why have things just not worked out the way I was hoping that they would.
And the coolest part about why secular diets have failed you and what’s really standing in the way is that you’ll actually learn. And be able to make sense of all of the attempts that you’ve made in the past of why you could have success for a while and why it went away. Okay? It’s all gonna make sense to you.
And the coolest part is you guys. Is that the only thing standing in the way of you being at your healthy weight and you where you are now is just learning a couple skills. That’s absolutely it. So before we dive in, let me tell you a little bit about me as your coach. My name is Denise Jelinek. I am 48 years old. I am a convert to Catholicism.
And nearly 12 years ago, I had hit my bottom with food. I had seen myself. Overeat a couple pounds of fudge in like just probably under a couple hours. And that was my real bottom. And I see it was my real bottom. And that doesn’t sound like a big deal because it was me living in a cycle.
I was stuck in a cycle during my everyday life. Where I would find myself getting through the day just fine. So I was a personal trainer. I had two boys. Both my boys are adopted. I had two boys, so I tried really hard to have these kids. They were four and seven-ish at this time that I’m going to tell you about.
I had the husband and my life really was going well from the outside, but all I wanted to do was to stand in the corner of my pantry and dump chocolate chips in jars of peanut butter and just eat them with a spoon. And every once in a while I’d look over to see if my husband in the TV room could see me and. I couldn’t stop myself.
And my husband was like, real, we really go through a lot of peanut butter and it was so confusing to me. How could I know what I know? As a personal trainer, I was writing diet plans for people and when they would follow them and lose weight, I thought they were lying to me because I couldn’t follow anything for longer than, you know, I could do Monday through Thursday pretty well, maybe to Friday. And then Friday was just back in that cycle.
Saturday morning was usually okay ’cause I felt a lot of guilt. But then Saturday night. All the way to Sunday was, you know, just food and food and food and what I have to say and what I’ve learned through all of this time. Is that there was nothing wrong with me and there’s nothing wrong with you. I just didn’t have tools to deal with my food and weight struggles.
See, because I was trying all of the secular tools, I had hired the trainers, I had bought the online programs. I was writing diet plans for myself that I couldn’t follow. I was looking up other people’s diet plans that I couldn’t follow long term, and the problem wasn’t what I knew. I have degrees in exercise science. I was living as a personal trainer. It has nothing to do with knowledge.
Knowing what to eat wasn’t the problem. I just couldn’t stick to it. And so that’s likely the same scenario for you. And so by finally learning how to deal with the things that were driving me to eat and to use food to get more tools in my tool belt. More skills, and that’s what I’m gonna talk to you guys about today.
I could learn to get through the ups and downs of my life without stress eating. I could learn how to get through being anxious without stress eating. I could learn how to feel sad and taken advantage of. And hurt and offended without turning to food. I could learn how to do all of those things.
So I say that because I know that you’re probably thinking there’s something wrong with you and there’s nothing wrong with you. You just don’t have the tools. You haven’t been taught things that are totally learnable. I don’t even know if that’s a word.
There are things that you weren’t born knowing and if somebody didn’t teach them to you, you wouldn’t know them, but now you have the opportunity to know them. So let’s talk about the skills that you do need to learn and why diets are failing you.
Before I do that though, this is my family now. That’s me and my husband, my son on the right, just went to college, so I am my first time. I’m not an empty nester ’cause I still have the other guy. He’s almost 16, he’s at home. But my life is in a different place now. They were four and seven when I started this journey and I have to tell you, they have a different mom.
Because I started this journey, their childhood was way different than had I still been using food to get through life and still feeling so much shame and guilt and that my level of self neglect and lack of self-confidence or trust in myself. Had I been that woman who never found a different solution, they would’ve had a different childhood.
And I promise you, wherever you are now, I like to take your age now and let’s just assume we all live to 98. So from now until oh no, 95 to 95 do the math on that. That’s how many years you have to live with this peace and freedom. I just got done with a client and she said, Denise, I’ve never had so much peace with food. I’m so okay with my body where it is.
She said, I wouldn’t have never started this journey. If I didn’t think I could lose 50 pounds in a month, right? She said, but it’s just, I’m okay. Just like the healing that’s happened. It was just so incredible. And the relationship that she’s had with her teenage daughters and herself.
My point is this, as you guys, this is a journey. And wherever you are now, things can turn around because you can do things with the Lord. Now, and I’m gonna tell you, when I was secular dieting, I did have a relationship with the Lord. I just didn’t know how to pull him into this area. Into food and weight struggles, and that was the single thing that I did that led me to where I am now and the peace and freedom I have.
So fast forward to the pandemic. I just want to let you know that the Lord has been preparing you for this for a very long time. In that I was doing everything secular professionally. I was a personal trainer part-time, and when the pandemic hit, I decided to stay home, and that’s when the Lord revealed to me, Denise, I want you to go find my hurting daughters and bring them to me.
You see, until that point, the freedom and the peace that I’d had with food and weight was a private journey. My husband knew that I was in that I had stopped binge eating, but nobody else knew. But he said, go find my hurting daughters and bring them to me. He didn’t say, go find my hurting daughters and help them. He said, go find my hurting daughters and bring them to me.
He knew the misery that I was in, and he knew that there’s other women. Maybe that’s you, and he wants you to know that the answer is him. I think that’s always the answer, but now that’s what I do all day long is I spread this message to let you know that he cares and he wants to help you with your food and weight struggles, and that secular dieting won’t get you there.
So let’s talk about why secular diets are failing you and why they don’t work, you guys. Here’s the thing is that weight loss is not complicated at all. Our years and years and years of dieting have made it feel like weight loss is complicated, like a super complicated jigsaw puzzle. It can feel like one of those impossible puzzles.
A friend of mine told me about this. I was like, I don’t even know what an impossible puzzle is. Do any of you guys do jigsaw puzzles? Put it in the chat if you do, so what an impossible puzzle is. So she loves jigsaw puzzles, and what an impossible puzzle is like 5,000 pieces or something crazy like that. And then all of the pieces are different shades of like white and gray.
I’m like, what? What I don’t even like. How is that even fun? And that’s what weight loss has become for so many of us. It has just been like impossible. It feels so complicated and totally not fun.
But, I want you to think of another kind of toy. Weight loss is not impossible. All we have to do is learn some skills. And now let’s think about that toddler that has, you guys have seen that red and blue ball and it’s got different shapes around it, and then the pieces go with the shape, and then the pieces go in the shape.
And so have you ever seen a toddler or even younger than that? Play with this ball. It’s like they take the star and they try to put the star in all the different holes and they just keep trying and they keep moving it around to see until it falls in. And now us as parents, we’re usually like, oh, it’s really uncomfortable for us to watch that.
So we will guide them and say, oh, here’s where the star goes and put that in and we’ll sort of show them how to do it. But that toddler never gets tired of picking up that red and blue ball and just keep trying all the different shapes, and it’s exhilarating when they get all the different shapes in, they’ve solved the puzzle. And that’s what weight loss is.
Weight loss is learning these skills, trying them, moving things around. Seeing what works, what feels better, what works for you in this season of your life. It’s probably not what worked 10 years ago and what works for you, not what works for your neighbor, not your sister, your mom, the other women in your life, not what works for the Instagram people, what works for you.
And so when we can have this playful, lighthearted approach to weight loss, we actually want to start doing it. And it can be that way. So just to recap, the diet industry has made weight loss and your past attempts, which have been very many decades, I’m sure, have made it feel like an impossible puzzle, but it’s not.
Real weight loss. What is lasting feels simple and peaceful. Why? Because we’re going to do this the way the Lord does everything. The Lord does everything with simple and peace, and he does it in a way that works for you. He uniquely designed you. He knows what works for you. He doesn’t want it to be complicated. He can’t do anything complicated.
And the coolest part is that with guidance, just like that little toddler with guidance, you can figure out what’s best for you. Weight loss can actually be really fun and exhilarating, meaning that you can actually love the process because all areas of your life can get better. So knowing that, let’s dive in.
The number one reason that. Secular diets aren’t working for you is because they don’t teach you how to eat the food that you love. Diets tell you what to eat, but not the food that you love. And that’s a huge problem because on diets, what happens is that when you eat the food that you love, it either comes with two different things. Either you are afraid that you’re going to eat it, so sometimes we just like totally avoid it or. We feel guilty when we eat it. Okay.
But here’s the truth. The only reason that you’re overeating food, let’s take for example. You are at a birthday party and there’s cake there and you’re afraid you’re going to overeat it ’cause you’ve seen yourself do it so many times. But because it’s a party, you are now giving yourself permission. And if you can see me, I’m using air quotes, permission to eat the birthday cake.
You eat the birthday cake and your brain starts to freak out because it never gets birthday cake, and now’s the time to get birthday cake and we better now get as much as we can because we might not get cake later.
So we are overeating birthday cake from this sense of panic and restriction, not because, oh wow, this cake is so good. I really like it. No, but because our brain has been so conditioned to be restricted and then when it can have the opportunity to be allowed to enjoy this food, it over does it. But not because of the cake because of that diet mentality of I may never get this again.
Then what happens from that mentality of, I’ll never get this again, is we see ourselves overeat. We fall into that sin of gluttony, not because we’re bad people, but because we didn’t know we could have a different way. We didn’t know that we actually had permission to eat cake as often as we’d like.
And so naturally then guilt sets in, and that’s just our conscience doing its thing to say, Hey, something’s a little off here. This isn’t the way God meant it to be. And I want to say that not in shame. I’ve had so many moments of gluttony more than you.
And I know that each time that I was overeating, it wasn’t about the food. It was because I didn’t know a different way to do it. I didn’t know. But that doesn’t mean that the food is bad because the Lord gave you your unique taste buds, he said. He’s the one that created you to like cake. He’s the one that created me to like peanut butter and chocolate chips.
He’s created me to like many different foods as well as you. And so secular diets are failing you, not you failing them because you just haven’t learned how to eat the food that you love, so you don’t feel guilty or you don’t distrust yourself around food and fear that you’ll overeat it.
What I find more likely than not is that when people are overeating, their brains are stressed out, and so one of the skills that you get to learn is how to have a calm brain because none of you have overeaten food when you’re not stressed. Have you ever overeating food, when you’re calm? No. A calm brain does not stress eat, but a secular diet won’t teach you how to do that.
The second reason that diets fail you is that they completely ignore your real needs and your unique designs. What I mean by that is you guys, none of us are overeating food because we don’t know what to eat. So a secular diet, simply telling us what to eat will not help you. The reason that we’re not able to follow those diets long term is because we have an unmet need.
We get stressed out. We can’t handle life. It feels overwhelming. Or maybe our brains are just in a pattern of relaxing in the evening with a spoon in a bin of. Ice cream, so maybe we’re just in a pattern, then we need to retrain our brain. There’s a reason that we’re not sticking to those meal plans from secular diets, and it’s not for lack of wanting to, but there’s other needs that need to be met.
We haven’t recognized that we’re eating for loneliness, exhaustion, for not giving ourselves fun in other areas of our lives. And so when we can start to solve for those, learn the skills to meet those needs in a way that food was never meant to meet those needs, food was meant to be enjoyed and to fill our bellies and of course provide nourishment.
But food was never the answer that the Lord wanted for high feelings, emotions, disappointments. Of course, we can use food to celebrate, but not at the expense. Of our health. We can use food to bond with our family, but not at the expense of our self-confidence.
And I think that’s another thing: diets ignore also your unique design and sort of like your family rhythms or your cultural rhythms if you think about it. A lot of us. have an identity that is part of the way that God designed us, right? Like you’re a great cook, or you show your love with food, or you’re just a foodie and you love food.
And this really reminds me of one of the women that was on my podcast, Jeannie, and she said that her identity prior to working the program that is a hundred percent with the Lord. It was really tied into being a great cook.
She said I would cook for hours. People love my cooking. And she said a lot of her life was surrounded by cooking. She would show people love with cooking and see the Lord designed her that way and there’s nothing wrong with that.
But when it goes over to where, that’s the only way that she starts to show self love is with eating and food. Now, it’s taken that God-given unique design, distorted it and sort of overdone it to where now it’s taking away from her life. So when we can keep things and your unique identity, the way that the Lord created it.
And keep the good parts, but let’s tweak and solve for the things that are drawing you away from the Lord, that are drawing you to carry excess weight, to carry excess burden. That’s feeling shameful. That’s crushing yourself confidence. That’s creating this sense of needing to isolate from the world.
So it feels like on one hand. Your identity is meant to help you shine the Lord’s light. And when it gets over or beyond the scope of what he wanted, it starts to diminish from your life. And so secular diets aren’t saying, Hey, let’s keep that God-given unique design, your specialness, your intricacies, your beauties, and then let’s just clean them up. Let’s get rid of the parts of those that aren’t working for you.
So we get to keep what’s working and surrender what’s not. We help you discover what works for you in this season of your life. It’s one of my favorite things is to just give you permission to look at your life and keep all the things that you love. And then let’s start working and solving for, which is a skill. It’s a skill to identify what’s not working, and it’s a skill to be able to find solutions. But I promise you that everything is solvable.
The third reason that secular diets aren’t working for you is they leave out the Lord. And I know that’s kinda crazy, but it’s really the biggest reason that secular diets fail is they’re completely devoid of the Lord. And this is why I was feeling for so many years. I just didn’t know. Like I had a really devout prayer life, in my opinion. I was praying every single day.
You know, it was just on my prayer couch in the morning, but I had no idea how to take the Lord throughout my day in this area of my life. I mean, that sounds crazy for me to say that now, because now I see that, oh my gosh, the Lord wants to be fully integrated into every area of our life.
But the methods that I was using to overcome my food and weight struggles were all secular, were all on my own strength. I never said, Hey, Lord. Can I use your strength? Will you help me here?
So I want you to put in the chat something that you have struggled with and that you’ve surrendered to the Lord. Yeah. What is it? Your marriage, your children. Do you have a child with addiction? Parents who are aging? Maybe you’ve recently had, or at some point, had a health scare or a really scary diagnosis.
What about your finances? Seriously, think about it. What have you surrendered to the Lord? Just think of one thing. One thing that you opened your palms and you said, Lord, it’s yours. I now relinquish ownership over this. It is yours.
And when you gave that to him, what did he do? What happened ? when you said, Lord, I don’t know this is yours. I bet you found a peace. I bet he showed you what your part was in this, whatever your struggle was.
You see, when we surrender things to the Lord, it gets very clear what’s our part and what’s not our part. It gets very clear on what our work is and what’s not our work. There’s things that we can control, and that’s our part. Everything else is his.
So you’ve seen his faithfulness in so many areas of your life, but why do you think you haven’t thought to surrender your food and weight loss? I think that’s a fun question. I would like to ask my former self. Like, well why would you not do this?
And I am gonna give you the reason, so you can kind of poke around your brain. But honestly, from all of the thousands of women that I’ve worked with, the truth is that there’s usually three different reasons that they haven’t surrendered their food and waste struggles to the Lord. The first one is they were like, I didn’t even know that was a thing.
And that, I mean, I get that. The noise of secular weight loss is so loud, and I don’t think in Catholic circles we’re talking about weight loss. It’s almost like, oh, it’s a vain thing, or oh, it’s selfish. I’m gonna tell you in a little bit how selfish it is not.
So number one, you probably didn’t talk to him about it ’cause you didn’t think it was even a thing. I also hear a lot of women diminish their struggle and believe that the Lord cares about other people more or other issues more than their issue. They kind of feel like it’s just not big enough for the Lord to care about.
The third thing is you might be afraid. You might be afraid that the Lord would be like, oh no, you can’t eat cake. You’ll never have cookies again. Bread is out. Like we have this sort of distorted view, like there’s good food and, but again, it’s just diet mentality. There’s a good way to lose weight and then there’s like, well, then you’re not losing weight.
So we just kind of put these parameters on what we think God thinks is good for food and weight, and it’s usually just a mirror of what we’ve been taught in secular weight loss instead of actually, like surrendering it and saying, Hey, you tell me how you want this to go.
And here’s the truth. The truth is gang is that you are his favorite. The truth is. And this is what I love to tell so many people, is that you aren’t more important than other humans, but you are just as important and to the Lord, you are his favorite. He doesn’t care about the number on the scale.
But what he does care about is any area of your life that you’re not letting him in on. He wants to be in everything. What he does care about is anything standing in the way of you talking to him. What he does care about is anything that you’re struggling with, doesn’t matter if it’s your marriage or your food and weight, doesn’t matter if it’s parenting or financial struggles.
It doesn’t matter if it’s, I don’t know what to make for dinner or what I should wear today, he’s like, talk to me about it. That’s all. He just wants to be part of your life. And what can happen when we get into secular dieting is instead of looking to the Lord to say, Hey, am I doing this right?
We start to use other measures to see if we’re doing this right, and we start to make those other measures our substitute God, like we’ll just step on the scale to see if I’m doing it right, because if I’m the magic number, then I must be doing it right.
If I followed my food plan, that means I’m doing it right. If I’m eating their food plan, that means I’m doing it right. If I’m eating the right food, I’m doing it right. If I look in the mirror and see the reflection that I think I should see that I’m doing it right, if my pants fit the right way, I’m doing it right.
But here’s the thing is all of us have been the magic weight, the magic size, and not found peace. We can look back at pictures and right now we can say, wow, I look the way, I like the way I look. But when I was living as that person, I didn’t like it. I didn’t find that piece. And so the magic weight, the magic food plan, the magic pants size isn’t magic.
And when we think it is, it becomes a mini God. It becomes a substitute God. And we’re not talking to God, we’re not talking to him. We’re distracted by these other things. And I think that’s one of the most dangerous things for, and I know that sounds like really strong language, but at least for me, it was so distracting that I couldn’t actually hear the Lord and secular diets became my mini God.
And my body became my mini God and the scale became my mini God. And chasing the magic food plan became my mini God. And all the while, even when I was at the magic weight, I would still fall into gluttony because I still didn’t have the tools to deal with life. I still just didn’t know a different way. ’cause secular diets didn’t do that for me.
So let’s recap. The three ways that secular diets have failed you is they don’t teach you how to eat the foods that you love without fear or guilt. Okay. They ignore your real needs and your unique design. They don’t teach you how to not do what you see yourself do.
And they don’t say, Hey, there’s a lot of awesomeness in you. Let’s keep that, but let’s get rid of the things that aren’t so awesome. Like you can still show people love with food. You can still savor food at special occasions. Heck, you can savor food every single day. Let’s start doing that. And they leave the Lord out.
So what Secular diets fail only because they miss the real skills, and I already went through those, but I want you to know that 63 Surrendered is a program that is designed a hundred percent to help you learn how to surrender your food and weight struggles to the Lord. And this is actually how you learn those missing skills.
The first problem with secular diets. So let me tell you how you will learn these skills and what those skills are so you can even start practicing them if you know what they are. The first problem is that diets don’t teach you how to eat food you love without guilt or without fear.
But in 63 Surrendered, you’ll learn how to make what’s called an easy to stick to meal plan, which teaches you how to eat the foods that you love in a way that doesn’t feel scary. You don’t have to worry about overeating them and you won’t feel guilty. Isn’t that crazy? You can do that.
You’ll learn how to have a calm brain so you’re not overeating from panic or restriction. I like to say we have unconditional permission to eat any food so that you can have a calm brain because I really believe that a calm brain does not stress eat.
The second problem with secular diets is they ignore your real needs and your unique design. But in 63 surrendered, we discover what works for you in this season of your life. Now, what worked 10 years ago, 20 years ago? What are your tastes and rhythms now? What is your life like now? Hey, I’ve got one kid at home that was way different than last year when I had two kids at home.
You are today years old and have never lived this day in your life. You get to live as you. You get to discover you now. What works for your mom, your sister, your best friend? Now, what works for the Instagram people? But you’ll practice noticing your true needs. You’re gonna learn how to meet them instead of just automatically running to food like I did.
You’re going to learn how to honor your unique design, the way that God made you. With all your special talents, with all your special interests, with your taste, with your rhythm, with your schedule. Hey, you guys talk about schedule. You know that’s, learning how to eat that works for your schedule is huge.
You may learn that using fast food as a tool is exactly what you need to do, and none of you feel guilty. About eating fast food calmly. The only time we feel guilty is when we’re going through drive-throughs impulsively, but I’m gonna teach you how to have drive-throughs, be a tool for you, because sometimes that’s exactly what we need.
We need fast food because that works for the rhythm of our day and it is a tool and we will decide ahead of time what we can order that you feel good about. And it can be a burger and fries. We can do that calmly and it can work for us, and you can still lose weight.
You’ll build skills to keep what’s life giving and what God gave you, and then learn to get rid of and surrender what isn’t from him. 63 surrendered is not a one size fits all. God made you with your unique rhythms and your taste, and in 63 surrendered, you’re going to discover that and be able to honor it. Instead of copying somebody else’s plan.
You’re gonna find out what works for you. I promise you’ll still be able to be a great cook. You’ll still be able to show people that you love with food. You can show them love with food and you can love food. You can still really enjoy and savor food, but it won’t impact your health or weight loss.
And finally, secular diets leave the Lord out, which is kind of a problem when you need strength in learning something new. And in 63 surrendered every single day we practiced surrender. You’ll learn how to invite the Lord into your food and weight struggles because we practice four daily disciplines.
Those four daily disciplines are things that you’re already doing, but we just orient them to your food and weight struggles. So you are already talking with the Lord in the morning. Now we invite him in. There’s a specific structure that we have. You’re already praying. We’re going to start saying the surrender novena.
You’re already meal planning, but I’m going to teach you how to make what’s called an easy to stick to meal plan so that you can stick to it and help you. Learn how to eat food that you love every single day without fear of overeating it or guilt, and then you’re gonna check back in with the Lord. We’ve got three questions that we ask ourselves. At the end of the day.
You see these four daily disciplines, you’re already following them, something like that. But we’re going to tweak them so that now you start to learn how to surrender your food and weight struggles to the Lord. He can come in then and heal you when you give him that willingness. The Lord uses that has unconditional invitation to come in and give you his strength.
We’re going to learn how to keep God or God and not the scale, not the mirror or food, and how to experience peace and grace in this area of your life just like you have in so many other areas of your life.
So why secular diets have failed you and 63 surrendered heals you? So do you guys see this Secular diets fail you because they grow the fear and guilt that you have around food. They ignore your needs and designs and they leave the Lord out. But in 63 surrendered, you get a peaceful, easy to stick to meal plan.
You learn how to honor your rhythms and meet your real needs, and you have this daily surrender and reliance on him. You’re doing this for every other area of your life. The Lord leads you in every other area of your life. You just didn’t know how to do it here.
And do you guys see this? The exact things that diets have failed to give you are the exact things that we get to practice and 63 surrendered. So I’m going to put in the chat. The link 63 surrendered is starting very soon.
So join today. It is a nine week journey, nine weeks because we say the surrender novenas seven times and practice the skills that you were never taught. Nine weeks of learning and practicing the skills you were never taught.
You have tools, so every single day that you wake up, you know exactly what to do. So you have daily tools to surrender your food and what you struggle to the Lord surrounded by hundreds of other Catholic women, and this my friends, is the biggest piece is that it is a proven path to peace and freedom. It is proven. These are just some of our testimonials.
This program has changed my life. I never found a weight loss program that focused on my relationship with God. It truly is not just helping me in a daily struggle with food and weight, but in life’s ups and downs. I’ve had many changes since I started this program and I can honestly say that had I not had the surrendered method in my life, my struggles would have caused chaos and anxiety.
How about this woman? She says 63 surrendered has been life changing. It hasn’t just helped with weight loss. It’s brought healing, a deeper faith and freedom from emotional eating. Surrender has truly led me to freedom, and this woman, she simply says, I love this program. It changes you in so many ways, more ways than you can expect.
And this woman, this is a wonderful program that is much more than a weight loss plan. Eat this, don’t eat that. Count calories, count macros fast, don’t fast, no carbs, et cetera. She said, this is a way of life that really can work.
This woman says, I love this program. The focus on the relationship with Jesus and trusting his direction for my life has been so enlightening and freeing. The resulting peace about food is freeing and life changing. And finally this woman says, this program is so simple and elegant, and the changes are deep and lasting. I have found peace in so many areas of my life. The food noise is gone.
And so if you’re feeling a stirring in your heart, it’s not pressure. It’s the Holy Spirit calling you. It’s not you who chose me, you guys. And what I love is John 15:16, he said, “it is not you who chose me, but I who chose you”. And I truly believe that not all women who hear about this work are ready. Not all women who hear about this work are chosen.
And what I mean by that is that the Lord has been preparing you until this moment. And the women who do say yes to this, know that they have been chosen for the work that he has brought you to the point that you are now willing to say yes to him. So remember John 15:16. “It is not you who chose me, but I who chose you”.
So I invite you to join hundreds of Catholic women and me as we journey this next nine weeks together to finally surrender our food and weight struggles to the Lord so we can have a lasting solution. And if nothing comes from your time listening to me today. Know that he wants to talk to you about your food and weight loss struggles.
And if you aren’t doing that, start, once you start doing that, he will start preparing your heart and he will draw you in and keep drawing you in until you are ready to finally surrender your food and weight struggles to him.
Alright, everybody, have a blessed day.
